Chris Janson

Four years after releasing his first radio single, Chris Janson has come a long way since working daily gigs in downtown Nashville. Co-writing for some of today’s top country artists like Justin Moore and Tim McGraw, Janson looks to make 2015 one of his biggest years yet. Putting 100+ shows and 2014 in the rear view mirror, its nothing but full throttle for the 28 year old Missouri native.

I stumbled across Janson while I was exploring the depths of YouTube, you know how you sometimes just get lost on that site, well this time I was happy I got lost. His sound is unique. It’s up tempo, swampy, more twang than what I am hearing on the radio today, and his stage presence is fantastic. Not to mention he is an awesome harmonica player. So I continued to look up more from him and I found out that not only does he have great stage presence and he can sing, he is a pretty good song writer, from songs like “Truck Yeah” (yes the Tim McGraw hit) to “When I’m Holding Her”, a ballad about how he met his wife, all the way to a song titled “Corn”. Now, anyone who can title a song after vegetable and make it sound as bad ass as this song, they must be doing something right. He also has written a track on Rebel One Entertainment’s own, Daniel Lee’s album entitled “Georgia Asphalt Road”. He’s great at what he does and I look forward to hearing more of his stuff as it comes out. His latest EP “Take It To The Bank” is available on iTunes. Below is a video from “The Bing Lounge”, the song is entitled “Better I Don’t”.
